Range Rover VS Lexus LX – Customization
In the world of luxury vehicles, customization is an important part of the buying process. This tends to be especially important to British luxury brands, and you can very much see it in the options available for the Range Rover. While the LX does come in a choice of five paint colors, that’s a long way off from the 30 offered for the Range Rover. Wheels on the LX are tied to trim level, so there’s no changing without also changing trim. The Range Rover, on the other hand, has a full range of wheel designs, with even the base SE trim giving you eight designs to choose from. There are three interior color options for the LX, with interior trim tied to upholstery colors. The Range Rover SE has seven upholstery options and three trim veneer options, as well as two options for the headliner, all of which can be selected separately. Lastly, the Range Rover is offered with two different wheelbase lengths and seating configurations for four, five, or seven. The LX has only one wheelbase/seat configuration.
Range Rover SV
The Top trim of the LX is the Ultra Luxury, which is priced to compete with the Range Rover Autobiography. But for those who want something a bit more special, there is the Range Rover SV, which has no Lexus equivalent. It comes with a more powerful version of the available V8 engine, as well as unique paint colors and interior options like ceramic controls and trim with inlays or marquetry. The SV Bespoke program is also available with this special version of the Range Rover, allowing you to specify custom paint colors and other uniquely tailored features. It’s the sort of thing that you won’t find on the LX, or any Lexus model.
Winner – Range Rover
While the Lexus LX can offer a lot that the competition doesn’t, it falls short when compared to the Range Rover. Not only does the Range Rover offer more and more powerful drivetrain choices, but more choices throughout the vehicle. It’s the difference between an off-the-rack luxury experience and something bespoke and made to your tastes. But as with any luxury experience, it has to be experienced in person to be appreciated. Land Rover South Hills is here to help you pick out your Range Rover.
